Welcome to The Sonic Euphonium Academy

The Sonic Euphonium Academy is an extension of students taking private lessons, or an alternative for quality instruction at a reduced cost in a group setting. Currently accepting applications. Once the studio is full, the registration link will close.

The Sonic Euphonium Academy meets once a week, SUNDAYS from 1:30 - 2:15, with instruction taking place in a group setting with as much as 8 High School students.  Every student is guaranteed of playing individually during the group time, and students are still encouraged to take private lessons from a different instructor on top of SEA.  Tuition is $10 each group session taking place at Summit Academy. SEA is affiliated with Sonic Arts AZ.  Some of the topics covered  are:

  • Regional and All-State Etudes
  • College/University audition level solos
  • Scales in advanced ranges
  • Tone and extension of technique (use of air, tongue, fingers, embouchure, etc)
  • Sight reading
  • Musicianship

Brian is a highly talented and imaginative performer who is finding new and exciting ways ways to promote the euphonium. I look forward to hearing what comes next from this dynamic artist!

Applicants will need to have the recommendation of their Band Director as to the students work ethic, attendance, general learning style and playing level.  Students should be at the Regional Band level of playing, but don't necessarily have to have made Regionals or All-State to be accepted.
